South Jersey/Philly area singer-songwriter Terry Rivel has something different to offer! His folk, country, rock and blues influences have culminated in unusual songs that transcend those boundaries, and draw on unique life experiences.

Whether singing about Annie Oakley, Johnny Cash and June Carter, a "Closet Full of Tear-Stained Shirts" or a "Cup of Tea In the Morning", Terry is a distinct presence on any stage. He'll drift from a heartbreaking love song to a hilarious "date from hell" tall tale, accompanied by a crisp flatpicking or rhythmic fingerpicking guitar style. And the voice is warm and welcoming, evoking similarities to Steve Goodman and Tom Paxton. And the influences are many, including Jerry Jeff Walker, Kris Kristofferson, Bob Dylan, Hank Williams and John Prine.

Terry's audiences are always treated to humorous stories as well as the humor in many of his songs. He is frequently accompanied by Benita Segal on guitar.

Terry is a frequent performer at the renowned Barrington Coffeehouse in Barrington, NJ, where he hosts an acoustic song circle every second and fourth Wednesday of the month. He also loves to play house concerts!!
